People are upset that there is a KFC sign on their door, but the restaurant won’t take it down.

In recent years, police cops have had a hard time, and things are only getting worse. Some people think that all police officers are bad or crooked, so they have attacked and picked on a number of officers.

Well, one restaurant in Gallipolis, Ohio, wanted to make a difference by showing the men and women in uniform how much they are valued and respected. People are making a lot of noise about the sign in the window.

Every day, all police cops in uniform get to eat for free.

To show all men and women in uniform that the city is truly grateful for the efforts they make every day to keep us safe.

A delicious hot meal is the best way to refuel before, during, or after a long day, and it might even make the streets safer!
Since the sign was put up in the KFC window, it has gone completely viral, with over 5,000 Facebook shares and 10,000 Facebook likes.
Even the store’s workers have joined in and commented on the Facebook post to say that they serve all uniformed police officers for free every single day.

You might think that the great majority of people, especially police officers, will be happy and excited about it, but there are also a lot of people who are not happy at all!
Some people didn’t like what the store owners did and said they thought all first responders, not just the cops, should be included. Even the person in charge of Ohio Going Blue, who is also a police officer, agreed.

He said:

Even though this is a good post, some of you can’t see the big picture.
No matter if I’m in dress or not, when I go into a business as an officer, I don’t expect anything for free or even a discount, and I can promise you that other officers feel the same way. We don’t like it when people treat us differently. The reason this was shared is because KFC supports law enforcement. To those who said that other first responders should also be honored. My answer? ABSOLUTELY.”

Since “police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe” and get nothing in return, it makes sense to give them free meals and snacks to keep them going during their long jobs.

What comes to mind when you see the KFC sign in the window? Do you support it?
