Fans of the famous show Martin are saddened by the death of another cast member. In the show, Sean Lampkin played Nipsey. Lampkin was also in Bad Boys, Big Momma’s House, and Life. He was a close friend of the main player, Martin Lawrence. In seasons three through five of the TV show The Nipsey, he played the owner of the bar Martin and his friends went to.

Sean Lampkin had just turned 54. He is said to have died in his sleep. On March 8, his “friend Marsel Watts made the news public on Facebook. “My friend, my last roommate for ten years, a father and family man, my brother, a skate buddy, a business partner, and a teacher, died this morning”. “Rest in peace, Sean,” Watts wrote.

Fans of the show are now starting to hear about his death. Watts wrote a memory post in which he spoke highly of his friend Lampkin. He said that Lampkin had “a black belt in karate and was” often Martin’s “right-hand man.” “No Martin without Sean,” he told her. Marsel said Sean and Martin used to ride together a lot. Based on what IMDB says, Lampkin was also Martin’s helper.

Tisha Campbell was among the first people to say something about Sean’s death. She put several prayer emojis and a crying face in a comment under a post from a Martin Show fan page. Guy Torry, a comedian, also used social media to honor Sean. Torry was a writer for Martin, and he said, “My man Sean Lampkin has been called home. What a funny, GOOD guy who doesn’t get enough credit.”

After Thomas Mikal Ford died in 2016, Lampkin is the second important member of the Martin group to die. In a recent reunion special, the cast members paid respect to Ford. Martin hasn’t written about Sean’s death on his blog yet. He did post a picture of them together in 2021 with the caption “Lifting each other up since day one #teammartymar #fbf #squad.”

Fans seemed happy to see Sean say “Nip!” in the comments. Lampkin didn’t have his own social media account, but friends are posting show clips on Twitter to express their sadness.
