Delrie Rosario, a mother of four, died after falling off a machine at a LA Fitness gym in Kent, Washington. This was a very sad event.

The 36-year-old was used to working out every day with her sister, Marissa Woods. During their usual workout, she fell and hit her head, KIRO-7 News said.

Woods says, “She tried to slow down the machine. I thought she might have skipped a step. She suddenly fell down and hit her head on the machine.”

In the chaos that followed, Woods called for help and begged anyone who knew CPR to come help. While other gym-goers rushed to help, Woods pointed out that “not one worker” did anything, which suggests that they were shocked.

Rosario never woke up again after the accident, and she later died at a nearby hospital from her injuries.

But that’s not the end of her story. Rosario saved five lives by giving away organs, according to her sister. “Five people, right this second! She is helping save lives. How big must your heart be to keep helping people?” Woods thought about it and then said, “Just think, someone’s walking around…with her big heart. They have no idea what kind of heart they’re about to get.”

Rosario worked two jobs to take care of her four kids, Delaino, Rickey, Ric’Kae, and Delaiah. She was known for her hard work ethic. “First, she was a mother. She always did things for children. Woods said, “She worked so hard for kids.” Rosario’s coworkers started a GoFundMe effort to help her children after she died. They called her “an Angel walking among us here on earth” in honor of her.

Woods called her sister’s death after she fell and hit her head a “bizarre accident.” Accidents on treadmills don’t kill people very often, but they do hurt people. In 2019, “the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, which is part of the Consumer Product Safety Commission”, said that about 400,000 Americans are treated each year for injuries caused by exercise equipment.

Most accidents from working out at home happen on treadmills, which will send nearly 16,000 people to the emergency room in 2020 alone. A trainer named Harley Pasternak told People, “When you go to the gym, make sure you go with someone or tell someone where you’re going. This happens with all kinds of exercise, not just machines, and there’s usually no one around to help.
