Jason Barnum, who was 37 years old at the time, pleaded guilty to killing a police officer in Anchorage, Alaska. But it wasn’t the crime that made people talk about him—it was the tattoo that covered my right eye.

He was called “Eyeball” by people, and he became famous quickly.

But after it was said that he had begun his long term, a rumor spread that he was the son of one of America’s most famous actors.

When police came into Barnum’s hotel room in 2012 to look into reports of car break-ins and crimes in the south of Anchorage, he pulled out a gun and shot the officer.

The officers came out of the hotel room and shot back at Barnum. Soon, many more cops joined in. The cops told people to leave the hotel. Police from SWAT were soon at the scene.

The cop who was shot only got hurt, and Barnum got more than 20 years in prison for what he did.

There was jewelry and other valuable things in a backpack that the cops found in the hotel room. It turned out that Barnum had committed a lot of crimes. In order to get money to buy drugs, he broke into people’s homes and stole their cars.

His bail was set at $500,000. He was charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of illegal assault. He said, “Sure, why not” when asked if he knew what he was being charged with and if he wanted a lawyer.

Barnum was a known thief who had been charged with and found guilty of 14 crimes before his most recent one.

Because of how he looked, everyone in the courtroom looked at him as soon as he walked in. There were tattoos all over his body, but the one in his eye stood out the most. He had a black mark on the white of his right eye.

People with those kinds of tattoos are pretty common these days, but back in the day, they were pretty new and unique.

“Anchorage Police Department Chief Mark Mew told” reporters, “I think Jason Barnum decided a long time ago that his life’s work was to be mean to people.” “It seems like he wakes up every day wanting to hurt good people and broadcast that to everyone.”

Barnum said that his tattoos made it impossible for him to get a job, so he turned to crime.

Barnum said at the hearing, “I was living on the streets and tried to get a job, but of course, my pretty face wouldn’t let me.”

Even though he mostly blamed himself, he also said that the Alaska Department of Corrections was to blame because they didn’t help him at all after he got out of jail in 2010. “I tried, man. I’m sorry this hurt people.”

Police Chief Officer Mark Mew talked about that subject before the sentence was given.

“I’m going to speak my mind and say what everyone else already knows.” Please look at Mr. Barnum. “He is free to say what he wants and do this to himself,” he said. “I don’t think we can give him a sentence for that, but I do think we can look at his attitude and behavior.”

These days, not many people know much about “Eyeball,” but he is said to be spending his time at the Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward, Alaska.

People became interested in Barnum during his trial in 2012, and a rumor began to spread that he might be the son of Hollywood star Harrison Ford.

This picture of Harrison Ford and “Eyeball” Barnum was in a Revcontent story called “Harrison Ford has pretty much given up on his son.”

Soon, though, it became clear that the story was not true at all.
