According to the Sun, recently, a man named David Gordon chose to give up his Old Cottage in the seaside town of Margate in southern England in order to stay busy. This pub used to be an old house that was built in 1650. It is now a local Grade II conservation landmark because of its long historical value.

A lucky man found an extremely rare treatise from the 17th century while the shop was being renovated. It was lying on the floor. Specifically, David heard a small noise that sounded like metal while using a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor.

After getting rid of all the dirt, David was shocked to find that the object was actually an old coin from 1658 that had the image of the famous politician Oliver Cromwell on it.

A rare coin of high value found by chance by a modern owner

Based on the person who found the coin, it could be someone’s item that was dropped more than three centimeters ago. This coin is worth up to 12,500 pounds right now, which is about 354 million dong.

Besides this real coin, David also shared that in the scoop. This is a place that was built in the 1700s. He found some stone guns from the 1600s there.

David also said, “We haven’t looked at these things yet, but they are the oldest things we’ve found in our lines.” There’s a good chance they’re not worth very little.

David also found a fireplace full of things from the 17th century while he was remodeling the pub.
