According to prosecutors in the Tory shooting case, Tory Lanez and DaBaby intended to stage rush “Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 Rolling Loud Miami” performance.

On Tuesday (June 6), prosecutors in the Tory Lanez shooting case submitted a sentencing recommendation memo to “Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford. The” rap star will discover his fate next week. In the 12-page document, prosecutors Kathy Ta and Alexander Bott explain why Tory should be sentenced to 13 years in prison without probation, citing all of his pre- and post-trial infractions. In one instance, they allege that Tory Lanez, who was convicted of shooting Megan in December 2022, and DaBaby attempted to create a spectacle by interfering with Megan’s performance at the 2021 Rolling Loud Miami Festival.

“On July 25, 2021, [Megan Thee Stallion] performed at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida as a scheduled performer,” reads the prosecution’s memo. “Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, professionally known as ‘DaBaby,’ was scheduled to perform immediately after [Megan Thee Stallion]. This highly publicized event was witnessed by approximately 75,000 individuals. There was no scheduled performance for [Tory Lanez]. During [Megan Thee Stallion’s] performance, [Tory Lanez] entered the green room after obtaining security clearance. In violation of the protective order, these areas were within 100 yards of the stage where Megan Thee Stallion was performing.

Furthermore, Megan Thee Stallion was informed that “Tory Lanez and DaBaby” attempted to storm “the stage during” her performance. “Megan Thee Stallion” was in no way aware of Tory Lanez’s presence at the venue during her performance, nor did she acquiesce to it. “[Megan Thee Stallion] was terrified upon learning that [Tory Lanez] was present at the venue and within the prohibited distance of 100 yards.”

The Consequences of the Incident
Tory Lanez and DaBaby’s alleged conspiracy failed, but Baby invited Tory to perform during his set. Megan’s protective order against Tory was violated as a result of his attendance at the performance. A judge consequently increased Tory’s bond by $250,000.

A month earlier, DaBaby’s appearance on Tory Lanez’s single “Skat” sparked animosity between Megan and DaBaby, who had previously collaborated. Last September, DaBaby alleged on the song “Boogeyman” that he slept with Megan around the same time as Tory Lanez.
