Ray Lewis III has died. He was the son of legendary Baltimore Ravens player and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis Jr. He was 28.
Details about how he died have not been made public, but Lewis’ younger brother, Rahsaan, revealed the sad news on Instagram on Thursday.
“Really can’t believe I’m even typing this, but RIP, big brother,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
He said, “A real angel, I hope you’re at peace now because I know how much you were hurting. I don’t have words, and I never will, because this hurts so much.I love you I love you I love you.”
Adding, “Your niece is going to miss you, but she will hear about you over and over again. Just watch over us all, big brother. Be our guardian. I promise I’ll make you smile and be proud.”
Ray III had a great high school career at Lake Mary Prep H.S. in Florida. He did well as a running back, which led to chances to play college football at the University of Miami, Coastal Carolina, and Virginia Union.
We are very sorry for the Lewis family’s loss.
