One of the most famous names in Hollywood is 81 years old today.
On this special day, we want to honor the famous actor Harrison Ford and think about his long and successful career.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 13, 1942, the Hollywood star could not have dreamed of the career he has had. “After dropping out of Ripon College in Wisconsin, Ford got a contract with Columbia and then Universal in Hollywood. He” appeared in the films Ironside (1967) and The Virginian (1962) under those contracts.
But he got down about not having work, so he decided to become a professional carpenter. Four years later, he was back on the big screen as Bob Falfa in American Graffiti (1973). Then, as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), he became a huge star.
After he “played Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, the actor” continued to have a lot of success. The movie quickly turned into a five-act series, with the most recent one, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, coming out last month.
Ford’s role as Jones brought in more than $9.3 billion at the box office around the world, and he has also been in two other big series, like Jack Ryan and Blade Runner.
He has also been nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his part as John Book in the 1985 movie Witness.
