Employees receive hand-inserted chips. Rice grains help them work faster. They can swipe cards, print, open doors, even buy smoothies with a wave.
Sweden loves implanted microchips.
They’re old. Businesses started using them in 2014.
Sweden employs them to migrate inside homes, offices, and gyms. Emergency contact information, event tickets, social media profiles, etc. They even use trains.
Some worry about mandatory chip implants, but others see a huge opportunity.
This might include replacing a work keycard, or even a home keycard, or credit cards. In a store, you choose and leave.
However, experts stated the chip was not ready to perform money transactions, but they may develop it soon.
Epicenter, with over 100 enterprises and 2,000 employees, began implanting chips in their workers in January 2015.
About 150 employees have implants. In recent years, engineering enthusiasts throughout the world have begun trying these implants on their own to discover how they operate, and a Belgium-based corporation started distributing them to their employees.
