After hearing that ‘House of Payne’ actor Cassi “Davis had died at age 58 from lung cancer, Tyler Perry is” putting an end to the rumors that she has died.
On Monday, the director talked about the rumor on Instagram to put an end to it and comfort his followers that Davis is fine.
He added the words “THIS IS A LIE” in strong red text on top of a screenshot of the news story.

Perry said that he had just gotten off the phone with the lady from “House of Payne” after getting a number of calls from people who were sorry for his loss.
“I got a lot of phone calls from people expressing their condolences, but I didn’t know what they were talking about. Then I was sent this article that’s going around right now.”
“”I don’t understand how” it’s possible that neither she nor I knew that she had died. “So I called her and asked her if she had died. She” denied it very strongly. Whoever did this had better be careful when they spoke words of death over a child of God, said Perry. “Can whoever is in charge of this please tell you to stop?”
