Whoopi Goldberg became famous after her part in the famous movie “The Color Purple.” Since then, she has been busy.

Without a doubt, she became a big star almost overnight, and this Steven Spielberg masterpiece caught the attention of millions of people. Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the movie four stars and called it “the best movie of the year.” He also called Goldberg’s performance “one of the most amazing debut performances in movie history.” She finally won all four of the big North American entertainment awards—the Emmy, the Grammy, the Oscar, and the Tony—becoming the first Black woman to do so.

Goldberg’s mother raised her in a housing project in Manhattan when she was a little girl. She knew that comedy was her calling in life. She quit school and married Alvin Martin when she was about 18. He was the first of Whoopi’s three husbands, and all three split up. The actress had a daughter named Alexandra from this short-lived relationship.

Alexa Goldberg and Goldberg went to San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco after they got divorced.

She had always wanted to be a comedian, but she had to work other jobs to support her daughter.
In an interview with Oprah, Goldberg said she used to work as a morgue beauty.

“I put hair and makeup on people who were already dead,” Goldberg said.

“The paper had an ad!” The beauty school I went to also gave me a license to do beauty work.

“It’s a tough job,” she said. “You need to be a certain type of person. As for giving people a great send-off, you have to love them first.

She did stand-up comedy and toured the US and Europe with her one-woman show, The Spook Show, at the same time. During that time, the famous director Mike Nichols found her. He was amazed by Goldberg’s skills, and soon after, her show was put on Broadway.

After that, she was in The Color Purple and a number of other huge hits, such as Ghost (for which she won an Oscar) and the iconic Sister Act, which at the time made her the highest-paid actor in history.

Goldberg was kicked off the award-winning talk show The View for using bad language, which the viewers thought was inappropriate.

She says that she is most at peace when she is single, which is true in her personal life.
For the second time, Goldberg married David Claessen from 1986 to 1988. The third time, she married Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994. The star thinks that none of her marriages lasted long and that she is to blame.

Goldberg said she has trouble telling other people things, which is how it was with her ex-husbands.

“Look, everyone thinks you should have a boyfriend.” She told the New York Times, “They expect you to get married.”

“I tried over and over to do that, but I didn’t want to tell anyone else what I was doing.” No one should have asked me why I was doing what I was doing, and I didn’t want to have to make someone else feel better.

She then said, “But when you’re with someone, you have to do those things. It took me a while to realize I didn’t want to.”

Piers Morgan asked Goldberg about her ex-husbands, and she said that she had never really loved them. She told Morgan, “I guess you have to really love the person you marry.” You have to really care about them. And I just.. I can’t make that promise.”

“And I thought that if I got married, my life would be… more normal,” she said. But it’s clear that’s not true. Getting married is not a good idea. You must really want to spend your life with someone, through good times and bad. I just found out that wasn’t right for me.”

She never talked much about her personal life. It was the same when she dated Timothy Dalton, who used to play James Bond. People knew them as a famous couple, and they dated for a year. He even went with her to the 1991 Oscars, where she won Best Supporting Actress for her role as the crazy psychic Oda Mae Brown in Ghost. In her award speech, she didn’t talk about Dalton, though.

Goldberg is also seeing his co-star Ted Danson, who she worked with in the 1993 comedy Made in America.

Goldberg was single and Danson was married when they started dating. When word got out that they were having an affair, his ex-wife Cassandra Coates threw him out and paid him $30 million to get a divorce.

Before they broke up, he and Goldberg were friends for 18 months after their split. After that, they stayed together for a while.

She told Closer magazine about their breakup, “It was really painful, and it was very public.” It hurts a lot to lose his friendship. We can’t get a soda anywhere.” “I’m friends with almost every man I’ve gone out with except this one,” she added.

Goldberg says she’s bad at taking care of people. “I wish I were, but I’m not.” In an interview with The Guardian in 2009, she said, “I gave my child all the time and money I had. Now I want it for myself.”

Whoopi said, “I could never be married to someone again unless they lived in a different country.” She said, “Oh my goodness, I haven’t seen you in so long. They could come visit.” “Come on over here!””

At the moment, Goldberg loves her life with her cat, Oliver.

People in Hollywood say she is one of a kind and a well-known star. We only want the best for her in the years to come.
