Mike Strahan’s daughter Isabella recently gave a touching report on her brave fight against brain cancer.
The 20-year-old put together an honest YouTube vlog called “Vlog 8: Recovering from Chemo at home” in which she talked about how hard chemotherapy was for her.
Isabella was brave to talk about how much pain she is in during treatment, comparing it to a “heart attack.” While talking about her problems, she talked about how much pain she is in and how she is trying to ease it by putting an ice pack on her freshly shaved head. “Everything hurts,” she said, pointing out how her eyes, mouth, and teeth were hurting.
Isabella said that she would rather have radiation or brain surgery than chemotherapy because it hurts so much. She also talked about her worries about possible problems that could happen during treatment. She is afraid of what she doesn’t know, which makes her worry about her eyesight, teeth, and general health.
Even though there were problems, Isabella was glad to be home and sleeping in her own bed again after being in the hospital. Even though her medical trip is full of unknowns, she loved being in places she knew well.
Throughout the vlog, Isabella talked about special times she had with her dad, Michael Strahan, and her twin sister, Sophia Strahan. She did this to show how important it is to have family support during hard times.
Isabella gave an update after she and her father told the public about her illness on Good Morning America. She talked about the symptoms that led to the diagnosis and her emotional journey since then.
Even with all the problems, Isabella is still strong. She finished her last round of treatment in January, after taking proactive steps like freezing her eggs after being told she had cancer. Our thoughts are with Isabella and her family as they go through this hard time.
