The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Friday that Ivana Trump, who was married to former President Donald Trump, died from injuries she got when she fell.

He told the public on Thursday that Ivana Trump had died at her New York City home. She was 73 years old.

Mr. Trump’s first wife was Ivana Trump. Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric were their three children together.

In a statement, the Trump family said, “Our mother was an incredible woman—a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend.”

“Ivana Trump made it through.” She ran away from communism and came to live in this country. The family said, “She taught her kids to be tough and kind, compassionate and determined.” “She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”

Thursday afternoon, Eric Trump told reporters as he left his mother’s apartment building, “It’s been a very sad day.”

The FDNY says that just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Manhattan rescuers found a 73-year-old woman in the Upper East Side apartment where Ivana Trump lived after getting a call about a cardiac arrest. The NYPD said she was declared dead at the scene.

Police say that Ivana Trump was found unable to speak or move at the bottom of a flight of stairs in her flat. It was being looked into by the cops whether she fell and, if so, whether the fall played a part in her death.

A medical examiner said on Friday that she died from blunt impact injuries to the chest that she got when she fell. The medical examiner said the death was an accident and there was no reason to be suspicious.

The former president talked about Ivana as a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman who led a great and inspiring life” in a post on his site, Truth Social.

“Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric,” he said. “She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her.”

Trump Ivanka said that her mother was “brilliant, charming, passionate, and wickedly funny.”

“She lived life to the fullest—never missing a chance to laugh and dance,” Ivanka Trump wrote on Twitter along with a picture of herself and her mother when they were kids. “I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always.”

Ivana Trump, whose real name is Ivana Marie Zelníčková, grew up in what used to be Czechoslovakia when it was a communist country. In the 1970s, she broke up with him and married Donald Trump in 1977.

She was a top executive in Trump’s business company for many years. She was made CEO of Trump’s Castle, one of his Atlantic City hotel casinos, and helped plan the inside of the Trump Tower and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. She also wrote several best-selling books and started her own clothes line.

“Every day, I ate breakfast with my kids, no matter how busy I was.” “Every night at dinner, I sat with them and helped them with their homework (I loved algebra) before going to a rubber-chicken charity event in a Versace dress,” Ivana Trump wrote in her autobiography, “Raising Trump.” “The kids and I had fun, went on trips, and felt sad together. Our bond was and still is the most important thing we own.

In 1992, Ivana and Trump split up. It came out that the former president was having an affair with Marla Maples, who would later become his second wife. This caused the end of their marriage.

Ivana Trump told Amy Robach of ABC News in 2017 that she had forgiven her ex-husband. She also talked about the crucial years she had with Donald Trump while raising her kids.

“He was a loving father, don’t get me wrong, and he was a good provider, but he was not the father which would take a stroll and go to the Central Park or go play to baseball with them or something,” she added. She also said that when they “were about 18 years old,” “he could talk to them because he could start to do business with them.”
