When asked WHY she divorced Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith sent a VERY RUDE message.
At one point, Tisha Campbell said that Will Smith had been seeing her ex-husband, Duane Martin, outside of marriage. She posted a picture on Instagram with a statement following it.
“No matter how hard someone tries to hide the truth, it always comes out in the end.” Although the statement was not very clear, Tisha added her thoughts in a reply by saying, “And you’re right! They’RE going to lie until the end. People will no longer believe them, that’s Kiki.
The actor, who is about to publish a new memoir, said before that she and her husband have been living apart for seven years but have no plans to get a divorce.
Long-running reports about Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage to Will Smith have been put to rest.
The Girls Trip star didn’t go into specifics, but she did answer questions about the constant rumors about her relationship in a long conversation with Today’s Hoda Kotb for an NBC News prime-time special that aired Friday night.
“People talk and hear more rumors about you and Will than anyone else,” Kotb said as Pinkett Smith laughed.
“They’re in an open marriage, they’re swingers, he’s gay, she’s gay,” Kotb said next. There were a million things out there. What’s true, if anything? Did hearing all that bother you?”
“No,” Pinkett Smith came back. “That’s part of it, you know.” I don’t think any of that is true. There’s no truth to any of it, but I can see why there might be confusion.

This week, a teaser clip from Kotb’s interview with Pinkett Smith went viral because it showed that she and Will Smith have been split for seven years without telling anyone.
“Why did it break?” There were a lot of things going on, and by 2016, Pinkett Smith told Kotb, “I think we were just tired of trying.” “I believe we were both stuck in our ideals of what the other person should be like.”
In the past few years, many new details about the couple have come to light. Smith said on an episode of her 2020 show Red Table Talk that she and August Alsina, a music artist, had a “entanglement” while she was married. Later, in a 2021 GQ interview, Will Smith said that they “chose” to be monogamous for a lot of their relationship, but that it was still something they talked about all the time.
He said, “Marriage can’t be a prison for us.” “No one should take our road, either…” But the things we’ve done together, the freedoms we’ve given each other, and the support we’ve given each other no matter what is the best meaning of love for me.
In her interview with Kotb, Pinkett Smith—whose new book, Worthy, comes out on October 17—confirmed that she and her husband have no plans to end their marriage. “I promised that there would never be a reason for us to split up,” she said at the start of the interview.
Later, the host brought up the subject again and asked, “Just a simple question: Why not just get a divorce?”
“We don’t want to,” Pinkett Smith said. “Our family is important to us. We love each other too. It’s more like a life partner. Who knows what will happen in 10 years, Hoda?”
“Right now, what we’re focusing on, which has been so beautiful, is deep healing,” she said. For all the things that have happened. I don’t know what will happen next yet.”
