It is now “Katt Williams Day” in Cincinnati on April 27.

The musician and actress was born in the Queen City on September 2, 1971. On Saturday, he played at Heritage Bank Center as part of The Dark Matter Tour. Behind the scenes after the show, Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney of Cincinnati made April 27 Katt Williams Day in the city on behalf of Mayor Aftab Pureval.

The Wiz (WIZF-FM) posted on Instagram a video of Kearney reading the declaration to Williams.

The proclamation talked about Williams’s well-known work and performances at well-known places like The Improv, The Comedy Club, The Ice House, and Hollywood Park Casino. Also, Kearney talked about Williams’ connection to Avondale, where he lived and played.
