Former teen idol Donny Osmond is cherished by his five sons and fourteen grandchildren, who eagerly await his return from his current three-month “Direct from Las Vegas” tour.

Before heading out, Osmond shared a delightful moment with his social media followers, comparing his role in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” to a giant peacock.

Even with his busy schedule, Osmond remains as popular as he was fifty years ago when he rose to fame as a heartthrob in the 1970s.

At 66, Donny Osmond returned to Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in 2019 for his first solo show, after an 11-year Las Vegas residency with his sister Marie. He will reprise this solo act in the fall of 2024.

After captivating audiences with a “dynamic, energy-filled musical journey of his unparalleled life,” he will head to the UK to perform in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” for a limited run. Osmond, who previously starred as Joseph from 1992 to 1998, will now play Pharaoh.

“I always knew I would return to ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,’” Osmond stated on X (formerly Twitter). “Having starred as Joseph in over 2,000 performances, I am now ready to channel my inner Elvis and take on the role of Pharaoh in Edinburgh starting this December [2024].”

Before all this, he will tour North America with his “Direct from Las Vegas” act during the summer.

Despite his hectic schedule, Osmond always makes time for his family. He and his wife Debra, married since 1978, have created a large, loving family.

In an interview with People, Osmond emphasized that family always comes first. “That’s what balances my life. Family is the most important thing because the curtain will eventually come down, and then what do you have?”

Osmond, who appeared in the first season of Masked Singer dressed as a peacock, shared a photo on Instagram of himself in the pool with his grandchildren and a huge inflatable peacock. He captioned it, “Enjoying a final swim at home with my grandkids before the long US summer tour begins this Friday in Milwaukee. By the way, thanks to Sue Pearson from Leeds in the UK who gave me that inflatable peacock during my tour over there. We’ve had so much fun with it. Speaking of fun, I’ll see you all real soon on my US summer tour.”

Fans flooded the comments with praise and excitement for his tour.

One fan wrote, “So this is how you stay looking young Donny, your happiness and precious family makes you smile, and that is why you’re always happy on stage.” Another commented, “What a beautiful picture of you and your grandbabies. Can’t wait to see you [in] Louisville.”

“Can’t wait for this summer tour. Rest up…what is it, 41 venues? Wow! Donny, what a historic US Tour. So exciting! See you in Connecticut,” added another.

Some fans focused on the peacock, reminiscing about his performance on Masked Singer. “Love the peacock…you should have won!!!!” one commented.
