David’s life took a dramatic turn last December when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. His journey began when he discovered a lump on his back that caused discomfort and disrupted his sleep. After visiting A&E, tests confirmed the devastating news.

“I felt like my life had changed forever,” David recalled. Yet, despite the challenges, David remains optimistic and determined. He has undergone 12 rounds of chemotherapy and will continue treatment throughout the year.

David’s experience has transformed him into an even more positive person, fueling his desire to make a difference. He has become an advocate for cancer awareness and research, recently opening the Cancer Research UK Race for Life in Taunton with his family.

David’s remarkable story doesn’t end there. He plans to walk 44 miles over three days from his home to the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, where he receives treatment. His courage and resilience inspire us all.

David’s message is clear: if you notice anything unusual, consult your GP. Early diagnosis can make a significant difference. We thank David for sharing his incredible story and for his unwavering support. His determination to raise awareness and fund life-saving research is a beacon of hope for many.
