A devastating plane crash has claimed the lives of seven members of the renowned gospel family, the Nelons. The tragic accident occurred while they were en route to Alaska to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, the sole surviving member of the group, released a heartfelt statement expressing her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. She lost her parents, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, her sister Amber, and brother-in-law Nathan Kistler, in the crash.
The plane, carrying the family and their friends, including pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa, crashed in Wyoming, sparking a wildfire. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, no one survived.
The Nelons were a beloved fixture in American gospel music, inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016. Their legacy includes numerous hit songs and three Grammy nominations.
