Olive had always put her son Chris first, working tirelessly to provide for him after his father left. When Chris went off to college, Olive finally landed a good job and was able to support him financially. However, their relationship became distant, with only occasional video calls.
Years passed, and Chris graduated, got married, and had a child. Olive continued to support him, depleting her savings to help him buy a house and start a business. But Chris never visited, and Olive felt like she was missing out on her granddaughter’s life.
One day, Chris decided to visit his mother, but when he arrived at her old house, he found it empty and sold. A neighbor told him that Olive had moved to a run-down apartment complex on the other side of town. Chris was shocked and felt guilty for not knowing about his mother’s struggles.
When Chris arrived at Olive’s new apartment, she explained that she had sold her house to help him with his business and was now living with a roommate. Chris was devastated, realizing too late the sacrifices his mother had made for him. He apologized and promised to make it right.
With the help of his wife Rosalie, Chris moved Olive to a new home near them and built an in-law suite for her. He also worked to repay his mother for all the financial support she had given him.
But most importantly, Chris made sure his mother would never have to sacrifice again, and they finally had the close relationship they deserved.
