During a recent visit to Nigeria, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a poignant moment with her two-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. While interacting with students at the Lightway Academy, Meghan revealed a sweet exchange that highlighted the special bond between mother and child.
“As Meghan addressed the pupils, she fondly described Lilibet as ‘much, much tinier’ than them. She then recounted Lilibet’s touching words: ‘Mama, I see myself in you.’ Meghan’s response was equally heartfelt: ‘Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see me in you.’ Expanding on this moment, Meghan told the children, ‘As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.’
“Accompanied by Prince Harry, the couple immersed themselves in singing, dancing, and games with the children. Meghan noted that Lilibet particularly enjoys this type of interactive learning, remarking, ‘That’s Lili’s favorite class… Perhaps it’s all the hopping around.’
“Although the Sussexes keep their personal life largely private, occasional glimpses offer a glimpse into their loving family dynamic. In February, Prince Harry shared on Good Morning America, ‘The kids are doing great… They both have an amazing sense of humor and make us laugh every day.’
“As they balance their public roles, Meghan and Harry remain dedicated to nurturing their children, Prince Archie and Lilibet. This tender moment between Meghan and Lilibet serves as a reminder of the joy and connection that parenting brings.
