“It was enormous,” he reflected on his legendary music video career. The emcee then revealed that Hov once told him that his visuals could potentially overshadow his formidable rapping ability. “However, there was a downside, as even Jay-Z stated that he does not believe I receive the lyrical credit that I deserve due to the visuals.”
The Atlanta performer continued by explaining why his reputation is as it is. “People ask me, ‘Why don’t you receive credit?'” Because I played too goddamn much, I do this! In addition, I would not have it any other way. This is why my moniker is Ludacris; it’s beyond insane, wild, and ridiculous. I enjoy post-effects and augmented reality, large sandals with large chains, bobble heads, and everything else. I understand, so I cannot be angry. “All I have to do is demonstrate my many facets, and I actually enjoy doing so,” he said.
During his music career, Luda’s passion for being in front of the camera effortlessly translated into a successful acting career. Elsewhere in the interview, Luda discussed his career as a Fast and Furious actor, his collaboration with Vin Diesel, and much more.
