A woman was found dead at her home in northwest Charlotte on Tuesday morning.
Stephanie Alexander called CMPD and said that she had just gotten home and shot a woman who was in her house.
Tyra Crosby, who was 25 years old, was found dead in the house. WCCB Charlotte News said that Alexander was still there when police came and arrested him for manslaughter by his own hand.
Six hours later, she put up a $250,000 bail.
The news source said that Tanya Hoskins thinks her daughter met the man at a club and was then brought to the house and killed there.
“She was asked to come over. I’m sure that my daughter wouldn’t have gone there if she had known that it was a married couple’s home or a wife’s home. “A man old enough to be her father took her there,” the victim’s mother said.
She says that her daughter called her while she was being hurt, and that the call was recorded on her message.
Hoskins said, “It’s about an 8-minute message of her being beaten and tortured, and you can hear them telling her they were going to kill her.”
Hoskins gave the recording to the police to look into.
