Todd and Julie Chrisley, who used to be on reality TV, are apparently not doing so well in prison.

Savannah Chrisley and her brother Chase Chrisley talked about how their parents are doing now that they are in jail on the most recent episode of her podcast “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley.” Savannah said that her brother recently went to see their father, and that during the visit, he told their father about how crazy things were at his prison.

“It’s a nightmare,” said Chase. Now neither of them has air conditioning. They both live in states where it gets over 100 degrees and there’s no air conditioning.”

Also, when his sister said that there were “rattlesnakes” slithering around near where their mother was being held, Chase corrected her, saying that it was actually a different kind of deadly snake. Savannah then said that the prisons where their parents are being held have problems with asbestos, black mold, and paint made with lead. But she didn’t seem sure if the general people would care about these things.

“I mean, Chase, it’s prison, so we’re not going to sit here and act like it should be the Four Seasons,” she said. “Because it’s a prison, no one feels sorry for it.”

Last year, Todd and Julie were found guilty of working together to scam banks out of more than $30 million in loans. Peter Tarantino, who worked as an accountant for the cast of “Chrisley Knows Best,” was also found guilty of multiple tax crimes. Todd is serving a 12-year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie is serving a 7-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky. Both of them were found guilty and sentenced to prison.
