Johnny Depp’s marriage to Amber Heard, who is now his ex-wife, was full of ups and downs.

After a lot of abuse claims, the two of them got into a very public court fight. The hearing was nasty, and all kinds of private things were brought out into the open for everyone to see.

In 2011, they met “on the set of The Rum Diary. They” started dating soon after Depp broke up with Vanessa Paradis, who he had been with for a long time.

In 2014, Depp proposed to Heard, and they got married the next year.

After only a few months of being married, Depp is said to have hurt his hand by “smashing bottles and windows” “during a fight with his wife.

Heard was the” one who asked for a divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

In an opinion piece she wrote for The Washington Post, Heard said bad things about “Depp. Even though she didn’t say his name, it was clear she was” talking about her husband.

“Two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath towards women who speak out,” she wrote. She got a lot of support from women all over the country and the world.

Depp denied everything said about him, but Heard’s attack hurt his business. Less and less directors wanted to cast him in their movies, “and his part in J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts sequel, The Crimes of Grindelwald, was” criticised harshly. Even his well-known part as Captain Jack Sparrow was taken away from him in 2018.

Then, Depp sued Heard for slander, suing her for $50 million. He said that he was the one who had been abused by Heard all along.

His defamation lawsuit said, “The op-ed [Heard’s article] was based on the main idea that Ms. Heard was a victim of domestic abuse and that Mr. Depp had abused her.”

“She punched, kicked, and hit me. She also threw things at my body and head over and over again, like “heavy bottles, soda cans, lit candles, TV remote controls, and cans of paint thinner, which hurt me” very badly.

Depp won the case, and his millions of fans are glad to see him back at work after losing millions of dollars and a lot of time.

Eventually, he went back to the big screen. At the opening night showing of Jeanne Du Barry at Cannes 2023, he got a seven-minute standing ovation from the crowd. Fans yelled his name and a woman started crying to get his attention as he walked down the red carpet.

The actor’s first movie since the slander trial was Jeanne Du Barry, in which he played the former King of France, Louis XV.

Now, though, Depp scared his fans when he shared a post on Instagram in which he said, “Dear friends, I’m sorry to say that I broke my ankle, which is a big disappointment.” At first, it was just a small break in the hairline, but as we travelled from Cannes to The Albert Hall, it got worse instead of better.

“Several doctors have strongly suggested that I do nothing for the time being, so I’m sorry to say that I can’t travel at the moment,” he said.

He apologised to his fans in Boston, New Hampshire, and New York, who were looking forward to seeing him. “The guys and I are deeply sorry to miss you all,” he said. “But don’t worry, I promise an amazing show in Europe later, and we’ll definitely give our best performance on the East Coast later this summer, making it up to those who have already bought tickets!”

“Again, I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. He said, “With all my love and respect, J.D.”

Fans were worried, but they also wanted to wish the star the best. “It was clear from the look on his face that he was in pain during the show. So this news is not a big surprise. I really hope he gets enough rest during the rest of his travels and events coming up. Take care, Johnny, we love you…”, wrote one person.

Depp deserves to live his life to the best after everything he’s been through in the last few years.
