LisaRaye’s birthday was last week, and Cocktails With Queens on Fox Soul and the group surprised her with her sister, Da Brat, in a way they thought would be fun.
The family gathering didn’t work out so well because the sisters “said they haven’t seen each other in a while. Since” it had been a while, Brat thought that coming on the show to wish LisaRaye a happy birthday would be a way to make up, but LisaRaye wasn’t feeling it.
After the party girl cried on camera for a while, Brat said she wasn’t surprised by how she acted.
“No, I’m not surprised. We’ve been kind of distant or whatever, so I know she’s really surprised, because we’ve had a little space in our relationship or whatever,” the rapper said.
“I wasn’t going through anything bad, but I was going through a lot of things, and I didn’t want to worry anyone. I also have a new significant other, and I was afraid to tell her about it. So it’s been a long time since I’ve seen or talked to her.”
LisaRaye said that it hurt her that her sister chose to tell the world the truth about her relationship with a businesswoman, Jesseca Dupart, instead of telling her in person.
She said, “I just didn’t want to read about it on the blog.” “You didn’t tell me about it. I hurt because I had to watch it from somewhere else. I am just that.”
The other women on the show tried to help the two sisters get along, but LisaRaye didn’t want to hear what anyone had to say, though she did say she liked the effort.
“I don’t give a f**k what you guys are saying. No way. You guys don’t know anything. No way. She will. You have.”
When the awkwardness of the show reached its peak, Da Brat left the group chat. LisaRaye, the older sister, made it clear that she was hurt that her sister didn’t invite her to such a happy and important event in her life, but she’s willing to make up with her sister when she’s ready.
“That is my sister! She’s not going anywhere, and neither am I. I just have to wait until she is ready to talk about her life.”
