One-fifth of the group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Krayzie Bone, is said to be in critical condition after being hospitalized for a major heart problem.
Multiple sources say that the famous Cleveland rapper was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles, California, on Friday, September 22, because he was coughing up a lot of blood.
After Krayzie had a CAT scan, doctors say they found that an artery in one of his lungs was leaking. The 50-year-old had surgery right away, but the blood wouldn’t stop.
Anthony Henderson, whose real name is Krayzie Bone, has since been put to sleep and put on a breathing machine.
The rapper has “sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease in which the immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue called “granulomas” in one or more parts of the body”.
The American Lung Society says that sarcoidosis usually affects the lungs and lymph nodes, and it can be fatal if it leads to heart disease or serious lung disease.
As word spread that he was in the hospital, people from all over the Hip Hop world sent him prayers and well wishes.
“Pray for Kray,” wrote Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on his Instagram Stories on September 24. “Can’t go to bed. You just have to pray sometimes.”
Kid Cudi, who is also from Cleveland, wrote, “Praying for you Kray [prayer hands emoji] [heart emoji],” and Juicy J and DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia also sent prayers through their own social media accounts.

The health scare for Krayzie Bone happened not long after a business high point for him and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Last month, they were given their own street in their hometown of Cleveland, which was a big deal for both of them.
On August 11, the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, fans joined Krayzie and Bizzy Bone as East 99th Street, which is the name of the group’s 1995 record, became “Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Way.”
“Hip hop is 50 years old.” @btnhlive is 30 years old! “Let’s Live!” Krayzie wrote on Instagram to mark the event.
HipHopDX wants Krayzie Bone to be healthy.
