Shaquille O’Neal is a basketball star who is known not only for his great athletic skills but also for his kind heart and work with charities. One woman has a very interesting story to tell about a chance meeting she had with Shaq.
Shaquille O’Neal went to a Best Buy in Lafayette, Louisiana, and asked for the newest “Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phone. He didn’t know” that this visit would lead to something so wonderful.
Kquoella Lewis went into the store to buy an iPad. While she was there, she saw Shaq standing nearby. It didn’t take long for her to figure out that it was the famous athlete.
Lewis started talking to Shaq because the chance meeting made him feel like a star. She told him that she was thinking about getting a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phone. Shaq told her, “Get two, one for me and one for her.” This made her look at him in shock. A Galaxy Z Flip phone costs about $1200 at a store.
Shaquille O’Neal is known for loving Apple goods, but he wasn’t even going to use the phone. This made the gesture even sweeter.
Shaq has done good things like this before. Earlier in the year, he read about a young child who was having a strange problem and offered to help.
Eric Kilburn Jr., who is 14 and goes to Goodrich High School, has a strange problem: his feet are too big for normal shoe sizes. Eric is six feet ten inches tall and wears shoes with a size 23. As he grew, it got harder and more painful for him to find shoes that fit.

Eric’s parents went to every store they could think of to look for shoes that would fit their son, who was growing quickly. Due to their problems, they chose to tell people about it in the hopes of getting help or information about shoes that might work for Eric.
Eric’s parents wanted to get him the right shoes, so they set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for custom pairs. The marketing and story spread quickly, and other well-known shoe designers backed it.
The NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal was the only one who called to offer help, and his call stood out. Shaq told Eric a similar story from his childhood, when he ran into the same problem that Eric did.
Shaq’s team at Reebok stepped in and said they would make Eric some special shoes. They gave Eric shoes in five different styles, which was a level of luxury he had never experienced before. The package came with the shoes and a note that said, “Eric, we really hope that these shoes we made for Shaq fit you well and make you feel better. We wanted to get them to you as soon as possible, but we still have a few more things to bring. Know that we are here for you and will help you no matter what!”
Shaquille O’Neal’s amazing act of kindness not only made Kquoella Lewis’s day at the electronics store better, but it also changed the life of young Eric Kilburn Jr., making his trip a little easier because of a giant with an even bigger heart.
