Ashley Graham, one of the most relatable models and public figures, wants to spread the idea that everyone should love their bodies. Graham has been pregnant three times and is now a mom to a boy and twin babies. She thinks that every mother should be able to choose for herself if breastfeeding is right for them, no matter what society says.

Graham was honest in a recent interview about the usual but rarely talked about effects of being pregnant. The model said she was hesitant to talk too much at first, but she eventually did: “Especially with how your body changes when you’re pregnant, with stretchmarks, sagging skin, formula, and breastfeeding.” Because people also tell you what to feed your child.

She went on, “When I had my first child, I thought, ‘I can only breastfeed!'” This is the right way to do it! After having the twins, I told myself, “I’m not going to do this.” This doesn’t work here. You both want these two things? It’s a lot of work. When they were 5 months old, I stopped nursing them and gave them the best formula I could find… These little guys are so happy and strong.”

Graham says that each woman should make her own choice based on her own experience about whether to breastfeed or use formula. “I don’t think we should be telling people how we should feed our kids,” she said to make her point clear.

Following giving birth, Ashley Graham talked about the common health problems she was having. She told him, “Your body gets full of food, but the baby takes it all away.” After giving birth, you’re completely drained of everything. Your hair falls out, you get pimples, and the weight doesn’t go away.

Graham said this about her willingness to be open: “I like to present myself as someone who is content with who I am.” And I went on a journey. Having faith in your body and being okay with who you are is a journey. I’d never lie.
