Jeezy has finally talked about his shocking split from Jeannie Mai.
Author Elliot Wilson shared a message from Jeezy that told fans that his choice to end his marriage “was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart.”
No matter what, I still love and value Jeannie, and the time we spent together is very important to me. “Our beautiful daughter is the best thing about our relationship, and I will do everything I can to make sure she feels loved and safe,” the “Trap or Die” rapper wrote.

Jeezy asked for a divorce in Georgia on September 14, 2023. This was just a few days after Mai posted a sweet video on Instagram with their daughter Monaco praising her husband’s book, “Adversity For Sale.” People say she was heartbroken over the breakup and was trying to get her husband back. However, different cultural backgrounds caused the pair to have “irreconcilable differences,” which is what the divorce papers say happened. On a recent episode of “The Sherri Shepherd Show,” Mai said that her daughter was helping her get through this tough time.
Jeezy’s last name, “Jenkins,” was still listed on Mai’s Instagram page until this week. Jeezy was also seen wearing his wedding band, which was a sign that the two may have made up. It looks like the couple is still moving forward with the split, which is sad. In the last part of his message, Jeezy asked for privacy while they are “healing.”
