This month, Wayans talked about his next comedy special on “The Breakfast Club,” saying that it was based on his 23-year-old gay son Kai.

Wade went on, “This is his experience and what he’s going through.” He’s going to sell it from his own point of view. It’s great for dads to talk about them from their own point of view and share how they had to deal with them.
She told everyone she was trans when she was 12 years old. Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union have become strong supporters of LGBTQ rights since then.
Wade had talked to Variety before, in May 2022, and gave parents of transgender children tips. “Think about the time you held your daughter in the hospital and looked at her,” he said. “Everything and everyone that was going through your mind.” And how full of love your heart is at that moment.
