Andrews said that her ex-husband Tony Walton gave her ideas for the Mary Poppins clothes. Because of his advice, it was decided to use bright colours on the inside and a more “uniform” look on the outside. She told everyone what Tony had said to her at that time.”Because I believe that makes her happy.” “Very fancy on the outside and a little naughty on the inside.”
