Fantasia Barrino is starting a new part of her life.

At age 39, both the singer and the actress from “The Color Purple” felt ready, which is something she didn’t feel when she first started working in show business at age 19 as the winner of “American Idol.”

She told Elle, “This Tasia is different.” “It’s like American Idol all over again, but I’m a woman and I get it.”

She also said, “I feel better. I’m now ready for Hollywood. When I was 19, I wasn’t ready for Hollywood.

Now that she has the right team behind her and more confidence, Barrino is ready to make a splash on the big screen with an impressive cast. She has also announced a new venture: a wine business, which she will start after she gets her sommelier license.

The Court of Master Sommeliers says that getting the license shows that a person knows “deductive tasting, wine and beverage theory, and both technical as well as salesmanship skills in table-side service.”

“A bottle of wine is on its way.” “I got my sommelier certificate because I didn’t want people to think I was just a Black girl trying to make money by putting my name on a wine,” Barrino said. “I love the way it’s made and the taste of it.” I love how wine is made. When my husband took me to a winery, I fell in love with it. It may sound crazy, but I felt like my life was like the pressing that wine has to go through. Something about it interested me. We’re putting out a red wine and a rosé.”
