“A truly remarkable man… universally loved,” Sandler said as coworkers from Star Wars, Happy Gilmore, and Predator talked about their feelings about Carl Weathers’s death. Carl Weathers, a beloved actor, died at the age of 76, and many people are sending him heartfelt memories.

Based on his family, Weathers “passed away peacefully in his sleep” on Thursday, February 1. He was best known for playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies.

“Carl was an amazing person who lived an amazing life.” “He left an indelible mark on film, TV, the arts, and sports, and his contributions are known around the world and across generations,” his family said in a statement. “He was treasured as a brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.”

His two boys, Matthew and Jason, and his ex-wife Mary Ann will miss him.

After playing college football for the Oakland Raiders and then acting in shows like “The Six Million Dollar Man,” “Starsky & Hutch,” and “Good Times,” he got the famous part of “Creed” in the first Rocky movie. He played the part again in three more movies before his character died in Rocky IV.

After Predator, Weathers worked with Adam Sandler on Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky, and Eight Crazy Nights. He also played Street Justice and In the Heat of the Night on screen, lent his voice to Combat Carl in Toy Story 4, and most recently, he was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Greef Karga in The Mandalorian.

He died, and many of his co-stars, including Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren from Rocky, Adam Sandler and Julie Bowen from Happy Gilmore, Pedro Pascal and Robert Rodriguez from The Mandalorian, and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura from Predator, paid tribute to him on social media.

In a video, Stallone said, “Today is a very sad day for me.” “I’m crying so hard I can’t even tell you. It is a terrible loss… “He was magic,” he said. “Without him, I could never have done what we did with Rocky.”
