Keith Urban was seen by waiting cameras at Sydney Airport last night, making it more likely than ever that he will show up at the annual “It’s a Bloke Thing” luncheon in Toowoomba. The dinner takes place in Toowoomba every year.
That the story was real was proven when Keith Urban arrived at Wellcamp Airport at noon, took the stage at the always-popular Prostate Cancer Awareness/Fundraiser event, and sang for about 500 people who had paid to be there.
Urban cares a lot about the fight against prostate cancer and holds it close to his heart. Along with his grandpa and other family members, his father, Robert, also died of the illness in December 2015. It was impossible for him to heal his sick father.
The country superstar is currently on his Graffiti-U World Tour in the United States, but he still found time to go back to Australia and take part in a fundraiser that, in just seven years, has raised millions of dollars for prostate cancer research and awareness.
Even though he is off on his Graffiti-U World Tour and playing shows all over the US right now. even though he is currently performing all over the United States.
The community’s generous donations raised almost $1.53 million for the It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation in 2017. This event is one of the most popular daytime fundraisers in Australia. This project is one of the biggest ones ever to raise money during the middle of the day.
Although Keith didn’t get paid for his help, the lunchtime fundraiser he organized raised an amazing $2,024,000.00. Keith should be proud of himself.
