There is now an adult Malia Obama. She is the daughter of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. She’s heading out on her own, and she’s changed her name to reflect that.
“The Heart,” the 25-year-old’s first movie, was just shown at the Sundance Film Festival.
Not using her family’s last name in the movie titles is interesting.
She came into the world on July 4, 1998. The middle name she has is in honor of her grandmother, who died at age 52 from cancer. Malia grew up as the President’s daughter and graduated from Harvard. She then chose to try writing for movies.
“The Heart,” Malia’s new project, has her write and direct it. Her name was Malia Ann when she did this work. Earlier this year, she looked beautiful on the movie opening red carpet.
But this isn’t Malia’s first time working in movies. This person helped write for the Amazon Prime show “Swarm” in 2021. Well-known players like Billie Eilish and Rory Culkin were in the show. Her job got off to a good start.
Janine Nabers, who helped make “Swarm,” said that Malia’s plans for the show were both funny and great. She wrote really well and gave the team a lot of new ideas. Also, Nabers said that Malia works hard at her job.
According to Stephen Glover, another producer of “Swarm,” Malia wasn’t treated differently just because she is the daughter of the past president. According to him, they weren’t nice to her because of where she came from. According to Glover, Malia is friendly and easy to work with, so it wasn’t a problem at all.
Obama parents, Barack and Michelle, sent their love and best wishes to Malia on her 25th birthday. “Happy birthday to this smart, funny, and beautiful young woman,” Barack wrote on Instagram. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead, Malia.
Michelle Obama also told Malia happy birthday, saying, “Happy birthday, Malia!” I love being your mom and seeing you grow into the wonderful young woman you are now. I love you more than ever!”
Being the President’s daughter and now going by the name Malia Ann, as well as being known as Malia Obama, it’s clear that Malia has a bright future ahead of her!
