Every parent wants their kids to leave the “nest” and have the best life possible, maybe even start their own family. It’s both great and sad to see kids grow up and move out.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith went through that too. They knew their grown and independent son Jaden would want to live on his own when he was 16 or 17, but it was still hard when he asked to “leave” on his 15th birthday.

Jaden was born well-known. They “robbed” him and Willow of a normal childhood because they are famous.
“I People

“So often treat me like I’m not a normal person,” Jaden told Dazed Magazine in 2018.

He made friends with skaters and fit in. “If I weren’t famous and had all this stuff going on, and I didn’t have to fly to all these different places all the time, I would just skate with these guys every day.” He said, “My vibe.”

He told BBC Radio 1Xtra that his dad, Will, said, “Jaden is 100% brave.”
Anything at all. Parents are scared. Still, his decisions about what looks good determine his life and death.
Because of this, Jaden may have asked his mother to let him go. On Red Table Talk, Jada talked about tr*umatics. She said, “At 15, Jaden, and I remember this day very well, it was probably one of the saddest times of my life.” “You told your mom, “I need to go live my life.”
Freeing people

at 15 needed permission from a parent. Jada thought today would be good. Adrienne Banfield-Norris, co-host of Red Table Talk, said that if she were Jada, she would never let that happen. It’s not just Adrienne who thinks the Smiths are “strange” parents.

Jada really knows her kids. “Knew. The number of years. “He was making movies, so he really knew how to run his life,” she said.

“Every child has different needs.” He wanted to go. Yes, I got it. I felt free when I was outside the bubble. I knew that letting him go would speed up his comeback.
