Rapper TakeOff has been put to rest, and in his death, some justice has been done, but the drama is not over. His family is fighting very hard right now over his estate. His mother, father, and Quavo are all being blamed for how badly they have handled talks about how to divide the money he made during his life.
Sources close to the family say that TakeOff’s mother raised him and that he and his father did not get along. His father has been trying to get some of the money that his son left behind, but many people think that he doesn’t deserve it because he isn’t around.
His side of the family, on the other hand, says TakeOff’s mother is a “bitter baby mama” who kept TakeOff away from his father when he was young. Some of TakeOff’s siblings from his father’s side went to his funeral and shared on their stories about how it went and their last thoughts on their brother, including how disappointed they were in his mother’s side of the family.
The sad brother sent TakeOff sympathies on Instagram and said that the funeral was the first time they had seen each other in years. “Today, I was able to see him in person, not just on a screen. I never in a million years thought that our meeting would go this way or be for anything close to this.”
He went on to say that his brother looked “beautiful” and that he wished his brother was proud of him from heaven. In a second story, he started to complain about TakeOff’s mother, her family, and how badly they were treating estate talks.
He said on his story, “Your mom, grandma, and Quavo should be ashamed. I pray for your family and hope you learn the right way to live.”
They also said that TakeOff’s mother was mean and that she kept him away from their family because his father no longer wanted to be with her. Several people on his dad’s side of the family have said that he ignores them and acts like they don’t exist.
“Talking to the other family won’t help. They’re petty and hanging it over our heads that we didn’t get to know Krishnik as well as we wanted…They do dirty things to us and make it look like we don’t exist. They know they’re doing something wrong.”
Some fans thought the back-and-forth was childish and in bad taste. They questioned the brother and asked him why he thought it was important to share this information.
He says that his family backed TakeOff long before he became a pop star, and that his mother never put any of his songs on her blog. Others stood up for the family and said they had every right to be angry. The brother agreed and said that they had kept quiet for ten years.
The whole argument started the week of TakeOff’s wake, when his brother hinted that the family might fight backstage when they finally meet. Thankfully, this didn’t happen. A lot of people think it’s about money.

TakeOff didn’t have a will, but he talked a lot about his mother and how she raised him alone. When he died, he was 29 years old.
