Former NFL player Deion Sanders needs surgery on Friday to get rid of blood clots in his groin, which could save his life.

The shocking news came just a few days after Sanders was told that he might have to have his foot cut off because the surgery went wrong. Adam “Pacman” Jones talked about his friend’s surgery on the latest episode of “The Pat McAfee Show.” When Sanders told Jones about his latest news, the ex-baller had a funny answer to something so serious.

“I told him, ‘Man, I hope they don’t have to cut off your d**k.’ I told him that,” Jones explained.

Last year, the former coach at Jackson State University said that two of his toes had to be cut off because of blood clots. Before he went to the University of Colorado, he was often seen riding a scooter on the grounds of games at the HBCU. He has to deal with the same problem again, which is sad.

Sanders also told people on Instagram about his surgery. He said that during a follow-up visit to the doctor after the one seen on “Thee Pregame Show,” he was told that he had blood clots in both legs, one of which was high up in his thigh. The Hall of Famer said that doctors would go in and remove the blood clots so that his feet could get enough blood. When that happens, he might have to have more surgery to fix his “hammer toes.” The 55-year-old guy said he was thankful for all the prayers and good wishes he has gotten since word got out about his health. Coach Sanders, on the other hand, seems to be in a good mood about the process.
