Shirley Willingham, who is his stepmother, told TMZ on Saturday that the news was true.
But the reason of death and other information were not given.
Caleb, who was known as “Killa K” or “Double K,” made rare visits on the TLC show that his wife hosted.
He met Slaton while she was in rehab for 14 months in Ohio. The reality star was getting help so she could get weight-loss surgery.
Caleb was also getting help for his obesity at the same center where he was staying.
The happy couple got engaged in October 2022. After a month, they got married in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
“Our wedding day was perfect, and there was so much love in the room,” “Slaton told People in January”. “I literally got married to my best friend.”
“I love seeing his face every morning when I wake up. And seeing his face before going to sleep every night.”
But they broke up in May, supposedly because Caleb wasn’t “following his diet in rehab.” Page Six has not reported the split on its own.
Slaton hasn’t said anything yet about Caleb’s death. Page Six has asked her and TLC for their thoughts.
This week, the 36-year-old woman shared a picture of her shocking weight loss on Instagram. After having bariatric surgery in 2022, she lost more than 300 pounds.
Before surgery, Slaton weighed almost 700 pounds. After the surgery, he was seen walking without help in May.
A few weeks later, Slaton told everyone that she no longer needs the help of air support.
She also posted on Instagram about how her face was getting thinner.
“6 beautiful photos of myself without filters,” Slaton wrote with the post.
