Generous Students Surprised Their Teacher Who Rode The Bus 4 Hours Each Day With New Vehicle, Insurance, And 1 Year Petrol.
Kind high school students gave their math instructor, who journeyed more than four hours by bus, a new automobile. Yula High School students in Los Angeles love 31-year-old Julio Castro, their math teacher. Julio takes the bus to L.A.’s Jewish private school from Santa Clarita. takes 2:20 each way.
“About two hours. Julio remarked, “I wait another half-hour or hour if I miss my bus.”
Despite his four-hour commute, Julio tutors math students after school and during lunch breaks. “He made sure I grasped all of the material by sitting down with me during his lunch breaks and sacrificing his time after school, where he could be getting to the bus stop going home,” said senior Joshua Gerendash.
Yula High pupils were inspired by Julio’s optimistic outlook on life.
Julio claimed he made the best of his commute and missing the bus and waiting an hour. “I always taught them, ‘When life doesn’t go your way, what do you do? Don’t weep. Don’t complain. Be grateful for what you have, move on, and good things will happen.
Many kids valued Julio’s free time assistance. They felt compelled to help him after realizing that his bus trip was over four hours and that he spent little time with his family. The kids surreptitiously raised money for Mr. Castro over the summer from Galpin Motors and The Change Reaction, a Los Angeles nonprofit that aids thousands of needy people. Students raised over $30,000 for their adored teacher.
The students bought Julio a Mazda CX-3 and enough gas and insurance for a year. They surprised him with his new automobile at school. Julio was amazed and grateful. I’m surprised. Feeling special. Thank you, students. “They’re like my kids,” Julio stated.
