Even though there was a big technical problem, pop star Lizzo put on a great show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday.

After her spotlight went out, the 35-year-old singer had to perform her hit song “Truth Hurts” in almost complete darkness, but she didn’t let it ruin the show.

Pop superstar Lizzo overcame a major technical glitch to put on a show-stopping concert at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Monday

The Herald Sun says that she asked her team, “Can the lights come back on?”

“Did we pay the light bill, b**ch?” she asked, which made everyone in the sold-out crowd laugh out loud.

The star then told the crowd to “use your imagination” while she did her act in the dark.

The 35-year-old was forced to perform her hit Truth Hurts in relative darkness after her spotlight went out, but she didn't let it derail the show

While her team worked to fix the problem, Lizzo went into the crowd to sign pictures and take selfies until it was fixed.

In typical Lizzo fashion, she said that her goal for the night was to spread self-love and optimism.

'Did we pay the light bill, b**ch?' she added, which was met by rapturous laughter from the sold-out crowd

She said on stage, “I can stand on stage and look pretty and sing pretty songs, but if you don’t feel better when you leave the show than when you came, I haven’t done my job, okay?”

It comes after a fan played an Aussie classic on the flute in a very good way at Lizzo’s show in Perth on Friday.

Despite some issues, Lizzo still performed an incredible show for the sold-out Melbourne crowd

After being picked out of the crowd, the concertgoer asked the Juice singer to sing “Down Under” by Men at Work.

Lizzo then asked her band for a flute so they could play the song.

The pop star got on stage and danced while the woman played the famous Australian song on the instrument.

Wow, get into it, Lizzo said as she danced around on stage to the music.

Friday was the first night of her The Special Tour, and the singer performed at Perth’s RAC Arena.
