This week, Boosie BadAzz said on Instagram that he would be higher on Southerners’ all-time lists than Jay-Z.

Boosie BadAzz says that Southerners will choose him over Jay-Z.

On Tuesday, July 25, Boosie BadAzz shared a screenshot from a blog called Spade TV. The screenshot shows a split image of him and Jay-Z with a tweet from a user. The above tweet said that people from the South wouldn’t put Hov ahead of Boosie on their list of all-time artists.

“Nobody from the south has Jay-Z ahead of Boosie on their All-Time list,” the tweet said.

Boosie BadAzz wrote in the caption of the picture that he agreed with what the tweet said. The rapper from Louisiana also said that he thinks Jay-Z is a good person.

Boosie BadAzz wrote in the post’s title, “I F**K WITH JIGGA BUT THIS FACTS!! [fire emoji]” “STREET N***AS IN THE SOUTH DON’T PUT HOV OVER BADAZZ.”

In an old interview, Boosie BadAzz says that Jay-Z isn’t important to music.

Even though Boosie BadAzz recently posted on Instagram about how much he loves Jay-Z, he told DJ Vlad in November 2021 that Jay-Z’s music just doesn’t connect with young people. He did, however, say that Hov’s business moves keep him in the public eye.

At the 35-second mark of the video below, he tells DJ Vlad that Jay-Z is no longer important to music. “I don’t believe that. If you’re going to say that Jay-Z is important and Nas isn’t, why? No.”

“When I go to these clubs in Atlanta for people ages 25 to 35, I don’t hear Nas or Jay-Z,” he said. “No matter which club I go to, it’s not either/or…These people respect Jay-Z for being the boss that he is. When Jay-Z flashes across that muthaf**ka, it’s worth a billion dollars, 500 billion dollars, or 200 billion dollars when those young n***as see him.”

DJ Vlad said that Jay-Z, who is 53, is the only rapper in their 50s who is still important in the hip-hop business. This got people talking.
