The 55-year-old actor sent a sweet birthday message for his younger brother Dixon on Instagram on Tuesday, accompanied with a photo carousel featuring a goofy photo of the two of them.
“To my lovely younger sister, @frequency11 ‘D’, on her birthday:…” Foxx praised the lionesses, saying, “You are the valiant lionesses, you are the heroic lionesses. And I would not be here without you… You literally saved my life with the choices you made.
With, “I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis,” he wished his sister a happy birthday and encouraged her admirers to swipe left to see more pictures.
DeOndra Dixon, Foxx’s younger sister, passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 36.
On July 22, Foxx made his first video appearance since his health issue, therefore Tuesday’s post is the first on his Instagram grid in three months.
The Oscar winner uses the video to express “gratitude to his sister and daughter, Corinne Foxx, for” providing “protection” while he was sick.
As Foxx explained the medical emergency he had on April 11 while filming in Atlanta, “he credited his sister Deidra Dixon and his daughter Corinne Marie for saving his life”.

Thanks “to God and a lot of” wonderful doctors and nurses, I am able to leave you with this video today. The actor continued, “And y’all know they kept it airtight, didn’t allow nothing out. I can’t tell you how fantastic it feels to have your family kick in like that. They shielded me, and that’s a luxury I wish everyone could afford.
Actor from Back in Action explains why he kept quiet about his hospitalization scare in a new video.
“I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through,” Foxx said. “I know a lot of people were waiting and you know wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you I just didn’t want you to see me like that man.”
As a result of his family’s prudence, rumors had spread regarding his health, so he also took a minute to set the record straight.
Actor stated, “Now you know by being quiet sometimes things you know get out of hand,” referring to rumors that he was “blind” and “paralyzed,” both of which were untrue.
But I did it anyhow… Foxx claimed, “I went to hell and back.” And there were bumps in the road to my recovery, too. But I will return. And I have a job I can do.”
