Ellen Tells of a Terrible Death Ellen DeGeneres is sad because a family member died.

Elliot DeGeneres, her father, died on January 11; he was 92 years old.

This week, the comic in Montecito, California, has had to deal with the deadly flash floods and mudslides there.
On Wednesday, she FaceTimed her neighbor Oprah on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the terrible damage.

“A disaster. After the fire and rain, no one thought that would happen. “Who would have thought that the mudslides would happen again so soon?” Oprah asked.
“But we’ll do what we always do. We’ll work together like all good Americans do. “We’ll help each other,” Oprah said, and we’ll work together.

The next day, DeGeneres did something nice for her father.

“I want to talk about something else before we break. Yesterday, I talked about the terrible mudslides in Montecito and said I had a lot going on. Betty DeGeneres’s father broke up with her in 1970.

Before going on, DeGeneres showed a black-and-white picture of the two when they were young.
I made him proud. He was nice, open, and he really liked this show. “He didn’t have any sense,” she said.

The talk show host said that her father “was very funny” and that she and her older brother, Vance, got their sense of humor from him.
DeGeneres shoots her show at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California.
SAD

The touching memory is of when her father took her and her family from Louisiana to Warner Brothers Studios.
Only one family trip. When I was a little girl, we went on a tour of Warner Bros. I work at Warner Bros., where they named a stage after me. “He was very proud of that,” said DeGeneres.
DeGeneres said she talked to him before he died, which is a good thing. She saw a rainbow over the studio lot ten minutes before her father died.
The rainbow

Ellen says:
As I was leaving, I saw a rainbow over Warner Bros. “Photoshopped,” she replied. I saw this after I talked to my dad. After 10 minutes, he died. Wow… Before he died, I saw a rainbow.” Save the whole video.
