Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari has spoken out since he filed for divorce.
On Thursday, the 29-year-old actor wrote on Instagram, “After 6 years of love and devotion, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.”
He said, “We will always love and respect each other, and I wish her the best, but sh*t happens.”
“It seems silly to ask for privacy, so I’ll just ask that everyone, including journalists, be kind and considerate.”
Sources told TMZ on Thursday that Asghari had accused Spears of cheating on him with a staff member at their home in Southern California, and that video proof from the home proves it.
Asghari thought that the Womanizer singer, who was “vulnerable and overly sexualized,” had asked an employee to film her naked.
She may have cheated with the person she is said to have asked to record her.
“For her own safety,” a source told the magazine, and because Spears had been unfaithful, Asghari filed for a divorce.
The latest news comes after claims that the Toxic singer, who is 41, touched Asghari more than once while he was sleeping and gave him a black eye.
Sources told TMZ that Asghari told his friends that the pop star would hit him over the course of their seven-year relationship, and that security had to step in many times.
When the model’s then-wife punched him in bed, he was shocked. Earlier this year, he was photographed with bruises on his arm and face. Sources say that these bruises happened at the same time as the claimed attack.
Sources say that Asghari was worried about the Toxic star’s knife obsession, which was clear in his $11.8 million Thousand Oaks home.
One said to TMZ: Britney thought someone was going to hurt her, so she wanted the knives to protect herself.
The singer is said to have “lost it” over small things, which scared Asghari.
DailyMail.com said that their relationship had gotten worse in the last weeks of their marriage, which led to the announcement of their break.
Sources say that Asghari thought he could “save” Britney, but after 13 months of marriage, he understood that it might not be possible to “save” Britney.
The source said, “Life with Britney wasn’t fun, so it’s not surprising that they got divorced.”
Sources say that Asghari filed for a divorce from Spears because he couldn’t leave her alone because of “irreconcilable differences.”
According to court papers, Asghari wants the multimillionaire to pay her spousal support and legal fees.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Britney’s people.
Even though their “ironclad” prenup protects the singer’s wealth from before they got married, Asghari’s lawyer, Neal Hersh, said they need to look at their funds.
US Weekly says that the prenup gave him $1 million for every two years of their marriage, up to a maximum of $10 million after 15 years.
He is also rumored to have given up his rights to Britney’s music library, and he is not named on any of the papers for the home they used to share.
Sunday, after they broke up, Spears posted a strange video of herself dancing on a stripper pole in a leopard-print lingerie set.
The filthy video of the hitmaker moving to the X-rated song Closer by Nine Inch Nails, a classic of industrial dance, was taken down.
After they broke up, her white Mercedes-Benz was seen on the road in Los Angeles for the first time.
As she drove her expensive car along a curvy road near Thousand Oaks, people could see that her hand didn’t have a ring on it.
Britney hasn’t said anything about the split, but she did post a strange Instagram about getting a horse “soon.”
Britney has made $15 million with Simon & Schuster for her book The Woman In Me since she got married in 2022.
But the book might make people think of another failed relationship and the happy ending of their marriage as an important story.
The singer came back to music with two new songs: Mind Your Business with will and Tiny Dancer with Elton John.i.am.
Page Six said that Britney hired famous divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, whose clients include Kim Kardashian, Kevin Costner, and Johnny Depp.
A person close to Spears told DailyMail.com that Asghari’s threat to release ‘extraordinarily embarrassing’ information about his husband if she doesn’t renegotiate is ‘absurd.’
Wasser helped her fight with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 45, for custody of their two boys in 2008.
After they broke up in 2006, they had two boys, Jayden James, 16, and Sean Preston, 17.
Wasser said that Spears was ‘happy’ that a judge told her to pay $20,000 a month in child support.
Kevin has full control of the kids, and in 2018, he had to pay $60,000 a month. He must have moved the family to Hawaii without telling Britney last month.
Wasser thinks that everyone should have a prenup because marriage is the “greatest decision of your life.”
Wednesday, DailyMail.com said that Asghari and Spears broke up after rumors of cheating led to a “nuclear confrontation.” We don’t know if the claims are true.
Asghari thought Spears wasn’t faithful, so they had a “big fight” and Asghari moved out of their house and into his own.
After meeting since 2016, they got married in June 2022.
