Halle Berry and” Olivier Martinez have settled their divorce, which they started eight years ago. Under the rules of the settlement, they will both be responsible for Maceo, their 9-year-old son. Berry will pay Martinez $8,000 a month in child support, plus 4.3% of her income over $2 million.

Berry and Martinez met in 2010, and they got married in 2013. In 2013, Maceo was born. After splitting up in 2015, they got a divorce in 2016. Reports say that the divorce proceedings took a long time and were very contentious, but the pair was able to come to an agreement that made them both happy.

In the deal, it says that Berry will be Maceo’s main physical guardian. Martinez will be able to see his son every other weekend and once a week during the week. Berry will also pay for Maceo to go to a private school, do additional activities, and pay for his health insurance.

Martinez will get 4.3% of Berry’s pay. This is called “recapture alimony.” This type of alimony is meant to make sure that the lower-earning spouse doesn’t have a big drop in their standard of living after the split. In this case, Martinez is the partner who makes less money.

Berry has been in hit films like “Monster’s Ball,” “Catwoman,” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Martinez is a French actor who has been in films like “Transporter 2” and “Unleashed.”

Berry and Martinez have both said that they want to get over their split and focus on raising their son, Maceo, together. In a joint statement, they said, “We are committed to working together as parents to raise our son with love and respect.”
