Out with the old and in with the new: ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ is almost certainly getting a full makeover.

Sources tell lovebscott.com that the decision to change the whole show was made at some point while the season 15 reunion was being filmed.

A source close to production tells us that Bravo is very happy with how well the recently relaunched “Real Housewives of New York” has been received, so they have no problem with the choice to recast “RHOA.” The next seasons of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” and “Married to Medicine” are also very exciting for the network.

The search is already on for fresh new peaches. We’ve heard that the production team has been quietly contacting managers and agents to find new girls. There’s also no desire to bring back any old cast members, like Porsha Guobadia or Kim Zolciak.

Even though the show is looking for all new peaches, it is possible that “one or two” of the old peaches will stay on as friends, like on the new version of “Real Housewives of Miami.” This will depend on how casting goes. There’s a chance that ‘RHOA’ could take a short break to give them more time to find the right group.

We’ve said before that ‘RHOA’ has been extremely hard to cast…which is the only reason why a few of the present “Housewives” even have peaches.

Fans have said that this season of the show is the “worst” in a long time, if not ever. This worries both Bravo and the people who make the show. Sources in the production say that a few of the later episodes were changed to try to make the show more interesting, not to show favouritism for any particular cast member.

Kenya Moore has been very vocal about how production supposedly cut her plot and cut her salon event out of the final episodes. However, our sources say that Kenya’s event wasn’t shown because “it was dry” and nothing happened, even though almost the whole cast was there.

Kenya’s pay on ‘RHOA’ is quite high, and Kandi Burruss is the highest-paid ‘Housewife’ across all franchises, as we’ve said before. The network could hire a whole new group for ‘RHOA’ for less than what they pay Kenya or Kandi.

To put it in perspective, both women make about $100,000 per episode. The whole group of the reboot of “The Real Housewives of New York” makes about that much for the whole season. That’s just one more reason why the show’s producers and network aren’t interested in starting it up again.

With rumours of a new “RHOA” going around, we wouldn’t be shocked if more of the women aired their grievances as they left.

As always, lovebscott.com will let you know about the latest (and not-so-latest) news from Atlanta.

The (almost) two-part ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ starts showing this Sunday. Are you going to watch?
