There are no words that can fully describe how important grandparents are in the lives of their grandkids.

There are a lot of reasons why these adults are “the best kind.” The lucky ones are the ones who got to grow up with them because they are a mix of parents, teachers, and friends.
In a while, Erica Lusher and her son hadn’t seen her parents. She chose to surprise her parents with a visit because she was sad that her boy and her parents had to be apart for a while because of COVID-19. They went 800 miles, but the trip was worth it.
Her mum and dad were having lunch at a Florida restaurant when Erica and her son walked in. It breaks my heart how the boy’s grandparents have responded.
Their grandma is the first person to notice them, and she is shocked.
An emotional grandpa tears up when he sees his grandson. He opens his arms wide and squeezes the boy, whispering “Buddy” as he tries to figure out what’s going on.
