“A little girl came in there who had just seen the matinee, and her brother said, ‘You liked that guy, go tell him you liked him,’ and it was Kyra,” he stated on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2014. She was 12.
He grew on Sedgwick and they reconnected later in life. 23-year-old Sedgwick married in 1988.

Bacon and Sedgwick lost their investments in the greatest Ponzi scheme of 2008. “We found out when the world found out,” Sedgwick told People. “We had both been working professionally—Kev since he was seventeen and myself since I was fifteen—and it was our savings, all we had…. A tough day.”
While upsetting, Bacon and Sedgwick recovered and said it made them appreciate what matters most: their kids and health.
The longtime couple told Glamour magazine how they support one other and their jobs.
Bacon stated, “Kyra felt pretty strongly that, as she started to have children, she needed to be there for them. Due to the kids, she made poor job choices. We stayed in New York to raise kids, although Los Angeles had more work.”
When Sedgwick got her big break on “The Closer,” her husband returned the favor.
“Then when The Closer came along—I don’t even look at this as a sacrifice—the kids were still in high school or junior high and she had this opportunity to travel out to Hollywood and be a lead in a TV show. Hey, I’ll stay with the kids. I never said, “I’ll stay home, I won’t take anything,” until this time.
