Simon Cowell is not only one of the most powerful figures in the music industry, but also one of the most critical judges on America’s Got Talent.

One Direction and Kelly Clarkson might not have become household names if not for this man and his talent-finding reality programs.

Simon began his career in the 1980s as a music producer, consultant, and scout, but he didn’t become widely known until he was a judge on Pop Idol in 2001. Since the show was so successful, Simon has expanded into other areas, creating the internationally acclaimed The X Factor and Got Talent franchises.

Simon, as usual, is forthright in expressing his opinions and is unforgiving against the participants. He speaks his mind and some may find his lack of empathy offensive, but he is only doing his job. This is why people started worrying about him so much recently. In particular, Simon didn’t appear like himself during the auditions for AGT season 18 because he barely said a word.

It wasn’t due to a lack of interest on the judge’s part; he just happened to be sick at the time.

I guess what happened was that the acid from my stomach really burned my vocal cords,” he told USA Today. This doctor came over and inserted a camera up my nostrils and down my throat so I could view the extent of the burns.

He said, “There was so much I wanted to say about auditions that I literally couldn’t talk.” We made an effort to put pen to paper. At one point, I used an iPad to keep track of what we had discussed. I tried to use Sofa as an interpreter, but she kept saying the wrong things on purpose. So basically it was chaos.”

However, Simon’s inability to communicate revealed a fresh perspective for him. “I had to sit there and not say anything for about seven days, so all I could do was listen to the other judges,” he explained. They’ve all grown in self-assurance to the point where they have strong tastes, and it made it a lot more intriguing. This definitely led to more healthy disagreements between us this year. You need not be an expert in anything to appreciate the variety of acts in this presentation.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Simon’s health has been compromised. He’s been in two accidents in the past. First, he hurt his back riding an electric scooter, and then he went down the stairs.

The singer and producer had to have back surgery after a scary incident, and he has since warned people about the perils of riding an electric bike. A suitable crash helmet and leathers are required to ride the one I had, which was essentially a motorcycle powered by electricity. This, he continued, “was really insane. Before I rode it, I had no idea how potent it was. And I leap about six to eight feet into the air and fall on my back.

But this doesn’t stop him from getting back on an electric bike. To the joy of his co-stars, he declared, “”I’m still going to stay on my bike, I’m obsessed with these things”.”
